Aluminium Coping
An attractive and affordable finish for a parapet wall or boundary wall is aluminum coping. The dimensions, widths, and profiles for each project's aluminum wall copings are unique.
Among all the existing benefits the ones listed below best support the choice to use Aluminum Coping.
Aluminium Copings Protect Parapet Walls
Aluminum coping and capping are made to shield walls from rust and precipitation. They are essential to a building's construction because the roof is frequently one of the weakest places.
A parapet wall or roof's measurements, including curves and angles, can be simply followed by the fabrication of aluminum copings, one of the greatest solutions for protecting against weather damage. By keeping the roof waterproof while also directing rainwater away from the roof, this increases a building's ability to withstand weather conditions for a longer period of time.
Aluminium is a Durable Coping System
Aluminum is not only naturally resistant to corrosion, but it can also be easily formed into any shape that a coping project may require. Once erected, it becomes incredibly sturdy, resilient to wind, and long-lasting.
Furthermore, due to their durable construction, aluminum copings are widely renowned for requiring less regular maintenance. Because of this, any coping and capping system made of aluminum is durable and protective for your building's shell.
Aluminium Wall Coping Detail
Copings and cappings can have an amazing finish thanks to aluminum. Aluminum coping has the advantage of being able to be painted or powder coated in any color to completely match the rest of the building's elements such as windows and doors. This means that aluminum copings can give your project a finished appearance.
A fantastic method to add consistency and aesthetic appeal is to select a whole architectural fabrication system, such as fascias, soffits, and guttering with all matching colours and styles.
Lightweight Aluminium Coping Installation
Aluminium coping only needs to be a thin 2 or 3mm due to the metal's strength and longevity. This means that the finished coping is lighter than alternatives like stone. This also makes installing aluminum coping considerably simpler, especially when it is raised to roof level. Aluminum copings and cappings are lightweight, which reduces construction time and costs.
The decreased weight also lowers the additional strain on a building structure because coping and capping must be linked to a building envelope.
Fire-Rated Aluminium Coping
Aluminum is fire-rated and naturally non-combustible. This is crucial in order to adhere to stringent building codes. Aluminum is the perfect material for coping since it won't let a fire or smoke spread and because its melting point is over 600°C.
In fact, aluminum coping can stop a fire from spreading. Due to the metal's excellent thermal conductivity, heat may be removed, allowing the environment to "chill" as a result of the energy being absorbed. By doing this, the building's structure will be less affected by heat, reducing damage and allowing firemen more time.
When used in conjunction with flat or pitched roofs, aluminum coping offers an affordable and simple to install upstand parapet capping. We offer four different coping mechanisms, each of which has a special quality.
Skyline coping
The skyline coping system is a available in a choice of 26 standard colours and uses a hidden fixing strap system, which avoids penetration of the capping, whilst allowing ventilation over the top of the wall. Skyline includes fascia and soffits, copings, cills and surrounds all available in high quality, in-house, BBA certified powder coated aluminium.
Secret fix coping
Secret Fix Aluminium Coping is manufactured from 2mm thick aluminium to BS1470 1050 H14. Jointing sleeves and fixing clips are from extruded aluminium to BS6063 TE and are designed with ribs to provide strength and rigidity.
Sloping Coping
Alumasc Skyline aluminium sloping or weathered coping comes in 3m length, with up to 5 Degree pitch, which provides a totally weatherproof covering to upstand parapets as fixing method does not penetrate the aluminium coping.
Evoke coping
Marley Alutec Evoke Aluminium Coping range is designed to meet the highest standards of durability and to withstand the most extreme weather the UK can throw at it. A hidden fixing strap coping system available in a range of 19 Powder Coated Colours (30-40% gloss level). Fixing brackets must be purchased separately.
