The Traditional Range
The Traditional range is made up of a variety of Gutter profiles and sizes, also a downpipe range (this can be used in conjunction with any of the Alutec gutter systems which utilise a square outlet tail) Typically these systems would be used on period style buildings and historic property refurbishments.
Traditional Gutter systems, what options do I have?
The Traditional Gutter systems are available in 1/2 round 100mm, 113mm and 125mm, Victorian Ogee 100mm, 113 and 125mm and the moulded ogee 100x75mm, 125x100mm and 150x100mm. Gutter lengths are available in 1.83m lengths and are a bolt together jointing method (as per traditional cast iron).
What sizes and lengths are the Traditional downpipes available in?
The Traditional downpipes range is available in 72x72mm, 102x 76mm and 102x102mm, and come in 3m lengths. These are available in both eared and non eared options ( this can be used in conjunction with any of the Alutec gutter systems which utilise a square outlet).
Which colours are available on these systems?
Alutec offer 19 standard powder coating colours including Heritage (textured) black 80% Gloss, with 18 options in 30% Gloss, along with Mill finish materials. Other colour preferences will incur additional surcharges.
What centres are the downpipes fitted at?
The Traditional eared socketed pipe can be installed with no intermediate bracket required, non eared pipe are recommended at 1.5m spacings for clips (additional may be required where branches / bends are installed).
I have a plinth detail on the project, what are the best options to overcome this?
Dependent on the projection of the plinth and height from ground the use of fixed offset may be an option , or a bespoke plinth offset can be made to order, providing a more aesthetically pleasing look.
What are the lead-times?
Normal lead-time on the Traditional range vary from 2 to 10 working days for standard products (dependent of colour / size), we will always endeavor to improve on this where possible. Non Standard colours allow 15 working days.
We require non standard products, what would the Leadtime be?
Allow 20 working days for non standard items, this allows time for drawing approval, fabrication and coating. We will endeavor to improve on this where possible.
My project is in a coastal location, will this be suitable?
Alutec use Marine grade aluminium for it's ranges, to minimise corrosion and effects of high salinity areas. Whilst Architectural grades of coatings are used, please be aware powder coatings are generally porous and will allow some level of moisture and air to penetrate the surface, it is recommended to increase the frequency of periodic cleaning to maximise the life expectancy on the products.
How long will it last?
Alutec Rainwater systems have a working life expectancy of 50 years with minimal periodic maintenance.
How will my order be delivered?
Alutec use third-party couriers for their deliveries. Smaller orders will usually be delivered via DX with packages unloaded by the driver. Larger orders may be palletised and delivered by your local Palletways haulier. Pallets will require offloading at the delivery address either by mechanical means or by hand, by people on site. Please clarify before ordering if you have any concerns. Please also make us aware of any access restrictions or special delivery instructions in advance.
Can you deliver anywhere?
Alutec deliver to UK mainland addresses as standard. Other locations may be possible upon request but will incur extra charges.
