Guardian pipework has concealed brackets and concealed jointing which provides a high level of security, ideally suited for security conscious environments, like prisons, MOD and mental health facilities.

How many colours are available in the Alumasc aluminium rainwater Guardian downpipe range?

We can offer plain mill finish or a range of BBA approved polyester powder coatings. The standard aluminium RAL range offers a choice of 26 colours, all with a 30% gloss finish unless otherwise stated. Bespoke colours are also available, but surcharges may apply.

Guardian downpipe lengths are 2m and 1m, supplied complete with two fixing plates, available in a round, square or rectangular profile.

What are the downpipe bracket centres on Alumasc's aluminium Guardian downpipes?

All pipes come with two fixing plates and are installed at the top of the pipe, so centers are no more than 2m apart.

What is the distance from the wall to the back of the pipe on the Alumasc aluminium Guardian downpipe system?

This system fits flush back the wall making it vandal resistant and ungrippable so you can not climb.

Unlike all other aluminium downpipe systems that install from top down, all Guardian rainwater downpipe must be installed bottom up.

Why do it need a make up piece on Alumasc aluminium Guardian downpipe system?

Once the gutter or hopper head has been installed, you will usually install an offset back to the wall, the pipework is then installed bottom up, and a make up piece is needed to allow you to join the downpipe to offset whilst insitue.

If I cut the pipe how can I reuse the offcut to save wastage on Alumasc aluminium Guardian downpipe system?

you can purchase loose spigots and fixing plates separately if needed.

What should we do if you have to cut the Guardian aluminium downpipes, will it jeopardise the powder coating finish?

As long as you defile the cut, and then use touch up paint to paint the exposed ends before install then it wont effect the BBA guarantee.

How do I protect my Guardian aluminium downpipes if the building is near a Marine environment?

We would suggest you install the pipe brackets using stainless steel screws. We can also provide the product in a Marine grade finish (thicker coating of powder) at an extra cost.
