What are Alumasc's aluminium pipe covers used for?

Pipe covers can be used to protect rainwater pipes insitue from damage, or vandal resistant, they can also be used to cover unsightly cables running horizontally or vertically across a building facade.

How many colours are available in the Alumasc aluminium pipe cover range?

We can offer plain mill finish or a range of BBA approved polyester powder coatings. The standard aluminium RAL range offers a choice of 26 colours, all with a 30% gloss finish unless otherwise stated. Bespoke colours are also available, but surcharges may apply. 

What size lengths and profiles does the aluminium Pipe covers come in?

Pipe covers come in 3m, 2m and 1m lengths, with a flange either side to secure to the wall (screws not provided), available in a round, square or rectangular profile, with open or closed ends.

What are the downpipe bracket centres on Alumasc's aluminium Pipe covers?

We recommend two fixings per metre (one either side at 1m intervals).

Can I use the Alumascs aluminium pipe covers on all downpipes regardless of materials?

Yes the pipe covers are oversized to allow the to fit over UPVC, Aluminum and cast including the pipe socket (Drawings are available to check size details).

How do I install Alumasc aluminium Pipe Covers?

Put the pipe cover over the existing downpipe and fix via the flange either side back to the wall.

What is the pipe cover closed end option used for?

This is a pipe cover with a fully welded top (closed end), this will need to be scribed out on site to ensure a snug fit around the pipework. This will eliminate anybody being able to hook anything over the top or conceal anything within the cover casement.

What should we do if you have to cut the aluminium pipe covers, will it jeopardise the powder coating finish?

As long as you defile the cut, and then use touch up paint to paint the exposed ends before install then it wont effect the BBA guarantee.

How do I protect my aluminium pipe covers if the building is near a Marine environment?

We would suggest you install the pipe covers using stainless steel screws. We can also provide the product in a Marine grade finish (thicker coating of powder) at an extra cost.

How recyclable are Alumasc's aluminium pipe covers?

Yes all our aluminium pipe downpipes are 100% recyclable, making in a good choice for both your build and the environment.
